Mare Serenitatis with the crater Posidonius to the NE of the sea. Ray crossing it from the crater Menelaus on the southern edge. Again, Hercules and Atlas showing under the huge crater of Endymion caught on the terminator. Coming down the terminator Messala, Geminus, then Burckhardt leading to Cleomedes just to the north of the Mare Crisium. More of the latter three craters can be seen on the next photo. |

Coming further south but still with a terminator shadow the Mare Crisium shows more fully with the bright rays of the small crater Proclus showing clearly in the evening sunshine. |
