Low Moons!!!! Don't you just love 'em!!
Full moons are at their lowest in June, but from the Backyard April to August full moons can cause problems

| Waited till about 10.45 until it peered over the garage. Telegraph pole, tree, chimney lie in wait | Still too low for the telescope but could see it through the 6x40 finderscope, hence the criss-cross | The first glimpse through the telescope as it came slowly over the roof |

| Whilst waiting, tried a digital zoom (x6) through the finderscope | Without the wires but with a phone wire crossing over | Getting higher - Jupiter higher still |

| Even with the moon clear of the roof I just could not get any clear photos | About the best I could manage ..8-( | This was the only one with any degree of close-up. Gave up around midnight and came in! |
