4 day Moon - 12th May 2005

8pm BST Moon (X marks the spot) crawls over the rooftops, chaffinch waits for its supper Just about visible in the blue sky - strong wind blowing the clouds
An hour later, with the sun not as bright, managed to get the telescope out and see this ... and much more - will post them when recovered. 10pm BST - Moon heading for the trees. Sickness descending - me heading for bed!  But at least the sky kept clear 8-)

20:53 hrs BST - with chimney - on high 23:15 hrs BST - with street light - sinking low

2 day Moon  - May 10th 2005

Sun going down, clouds rushing in from the North West Around 20.30 BST or 19:30 UT Could see it through the 20x50 binoculars but not without Clouds doing their best to cover the vital spot
First chance to see the moon this session.  Very cloudy last night.

Gone off to see if the darker sky will produce the moon or whether the clouds will win

Microlite flies past Small plane goes past the cloud And another - but Moon gone again
At last, a photo,  21:22 BST Again - dodging the clouds Through binoculars can see craters along the terminator 21:25 BST or 20:25 UT
